About The Book
Princess Angelia lives in the sun-soaked kingdom of Monovia. Her land is suffering from sickness and famine, but her father, the king, keeps dark secrets from his people. Across the border, Prince Xander of Drakov is fighting to save his own starving kingdom. The time of the last peace conference arrives for the two heirs, and their forced reconciliation brings forth not only a treaty but also a reawakening of the past feelings.
Peace is a distant goal. A new generation of dark powers is gathering. With their kingdoms on the brink of disintegration, rebel uprisings, and civil war, Angelia and Xander are confronted with a cruel decision. Shall they obey the thrones which have chained them to their responsibility, or will they dare to turn their backs to everything and follow destiny?

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING
If you are obsessed with the lovers’ reunited and royal forced-proximity tropes, drop everything and add Corrupt Crowns to your TBR immediately. The angst between Angelia and Xander at that peace summit? Unmatched

“Crowns are just cages forged in gold.” That single quote set the tone for this entire book! What impressed me most was Rose’s control of pacing. Instead of rushing straight into action, she takes time to build the political claustrophobia of court life before pulling the rug out from under the characters

The worldbuilding in Cathoria feels surprisingly rich for a debut novel—the contrast between sun-drenched Monovia and the desperate, starving kingdom of Drakov makes the tension at the peace summit feel like a pressure cooker. Xander and Angelia have that perfect mix of buried history, forced proximity, and “duty vs. desire” conflict.
